Navarro ISD Closure will be extended through April 10th

In his press conference today, Governor Abbott asked the citizens of
Texas to continue the practice of social distancing for 15 days, in the hope
of limiting the spread of the COVID19 virus. The Navarro ISD will comply
by extending school closure through April 10. At this time we are hopeful
that students will be able to return to campus on Monday, April 13.

Navarro ISD Distance Learning

Navarro ISD will be moving to Distance Learning through April 3rd. Device Pickup for grade K-6th will be Monday, March 23rd, specific times can be seen by clicking "Read full story". Online class will be starting Wednesday, March 25th.

School Board Meeting - Video Attendance Information

The Navarro ISD Board of Trustees Regular Board Meeting is scheduled on Monday, March 23, 2020 at 7:00pm. This regular meeting of the Navarro ISD Board of Trustees will be held as usual in the Junior High Cafeteria and is open to the public. The room is large enough to seat anticipated attendees at an appropriate social distance. Members of the public may also attend via Google Meets.

Closure Extended to Friday, April 3rd

Given the rapidly evolving situation with COVID-19, Navarro ISD will extend school closure through Friday, April 3 in an effort support our nation’s need to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus. Health officials report that cases are continuing to spread in the state, and in the counties surrounding Guadalupe County.

Meals to Go

Due to the school closures, the Navarro ISD Child Nutrition Department announces that we will offer free curbside meals Monday, March 16th thru Friday, March 20th at the Navarro Intermediate Cafeteria. Meals will be distributed on the west side of the cafeteria.

Superintendent Qualities and Qualifications Survey

The Navarro ISD Board contracted with Walsh Gallegos Treviño Russo & Kyle P.C. and Dr. Ann Dixon to assist the Board with our search for a new Superintendent. An important part of the search for a new Superintendent is to receive input from the community about what qualities and qualifications you would like to see in our next Superintendent.

Please provide your online survey responses on or before 5:00 p.m. (CST) on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. The information gathered in response to this survey will be considered by the Board to help them identify potential candidates for interviews.

Navarro ISD Gifted & Talented Program

Navarro ISD Gifted & Talented Program referral period will be March 9th - April 3rd. An informational meeting about the GT program will be held in the Elementary Library on Wednesday, March 18th at 6:00pm for parents who are interested in referring their child for the program. The Texas Education Agency is closely monitoring media reports and information shared by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding growing concerns about the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and is working closely with other Texas state agencies to prepare effective guidance for public school districts across Texas.
