Bandera Electric cooperative Scholarship: To be eligible for this scholarship 1) applicants parent(s) or legal guardian must be members of Bandera Electric Cooperative or receive BEC service at their residence and provide written verification from the member-owner of the account. 2) Graduating high school seniors must have maintained at least an 80 percent on a 100 present scale. 3) Students currently enrolled in post-secondary educational course work must have maintained a minimum cumulative 2.00 GPA on a 4:00 scale at an accredited four-year university/college, junior college, or TEA-approved trade school. 4) Applicants must meet general admittance requirements of the accredited four-year university/college, junior college or TEA approved trade school to which they apply to receive funds. Application and Submission Rules
The McQueeney Lions Club awards ten (10) $1,500 scholarships per year to deserving, graduating high school seniors in Guadalupe County. Students’ academic achievements and extracurricular activities in school and in the community are instrumental in students receiving this award.
This application is specific to the McQueeney Lions Club and will be used in consideration of that scholarship ONLY. Submitting this scholarship application does not guarantee a scholarship. Therefore, you are encouraged to apply for all financial aid opportunities available to you through other sources, including the financial aid office at the college or university of your choice.
- You must be a high school senior in Guadalupe County.
- The scholarship must be used for the purpose of study at an academically accredited two or four-year college/university or vocational school.
- Academic achievement, community involvement, and leadership will be considered in the selection of scholarship recipients.
How to Apply
High school seniors in Guadalupe County are eligible to apply and must submit a completed application, personal essay and transcript.

Aspiring Nurse Scholarship: NursingSchoolsAlmanac.com has just launched its fourth annual Aspiring Nurses Scholarship. They will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a future nurse in the high school graduation class of 2018. Preceptor Beta Epsilon XP 886 Scholarship: Qualifications for this scholarship are 1) must be a senior in high school, 2) must have attended Seguin or Navarro High school for at least one full year, 3) must have a GPA of 80 or above ; 4) must have a need for financial assistance 5) must return completed application and three teacher evaluations (forms attached to application) to counselor by March 20, 2018. 6) recipient cannot be in the immediate family of Preceptor Beta Epsilon member. Tammy McKinny Memorial Scholarship: The criteria for student selection are: A) Graduating senior planning to enter a Texas Trade School, College, or University. B) Student must be in top 50% of class. 3) Special consideration will be given to students who are members of the Texas High School Rodeo Assn. (THSRA), or other rodeo associations and to students committing to agriculture related programs. However, selection is not limited to those students. Greater Randolph Area Trail Riders Association Scholarship: To qualify for a GRA-TRAils scholarship, applicants will need to be a high school senior and already accepted as a full time student or currently enrolled under-graduate college student; have a 3.0 grade point average or higher; and be involved with horses or a community agricultural group of some type. Texas Legislative Conference Scholarship Guidelines: This is a one time $1,000. scholarship. Recipients must plan to attend a college, university or trade school in Texas; a minimum of 12 hours must be taken in the semester. The scholarship goal is to encourage and assist students to fulfill their educational endeavors I the field of government and/or public service (policeman, fireman, lawyer, teacher, military, etc.) These guidelines will be used to determine eligibility and to evaluate applications: 1) Must be a senior who has taken government classes is eligible to apply; 2) Student must plan to attend a college, university or trade school in Texas and concentrate in government and or public service to include but not limited to Political Science, Public Administration, Legal Studies, Law Enforcement, Military Service, Firefighter Training, Education, Non profit management and Public Safety; 3) The student must have an overall "B" average. HSF Scholarship is designed to assist students of Hispanic heritage obtain a college degree. Awards are based on merit; amount range from $500 to $5000, based on relative need, among the Scholars selected. Jacob Riley Springs memorial Scholarship: This scholarship has been set up in memory of Jacob Riley Springs. The Texas Dept. of Transportation offers a Conditional Grant Program to eligible students pursuing a degree in civil engineering or a department-approved operational business discipline. The Conditional Grant Program will consider both Texas public and private four year institutions. Students accepted into the program receive up to $3,000 per semester or $6,000 per academic year for tuition, based on financial need. Panther Posse Scholarship: The Navarro Panther Posse is accepting application for the 2017-18 Scholarship. The Posse will be awarding five - $1,000 scholarships to qualified applicants.
